READING IS FUNDAMENTAL -- Book People Unite is a Clever Campaign

THIS is so clever — I love it.  It's fun.   I don't know, but I imagine that the publishing industry must support the READING IS FUNDAMENTAL organization immensely.  Of course, that's with the assumption that any corporation takes the long view.  The second video is really clever too.  Little in my life has had as much impact as reading.  The written word has probably saved me more times than I can count. It taught me how to cook, helped me learn everything else I have ever learned.  Reading has opened my mind, entertained me, occupied me and obsessed me since the first "See Dick run" crossed my visual field.

Wow I had never heard of this guy before but that is exactly how I feel about my misspent youth.  Oh well, the late seventies. His -post-modern work strikes me as something I probably wouldn't have gotten into but I may look up some of it.  It's certainly a shame that he killed himself.
