The X Factor: What's The Unknown? Is the fix in?

 I don't reality TV competition: the humiliation, the fix, the ringers, the delusions, the dream killing. This evening I "watched" the X factor with Simon Cowell. He wasn't the first person to recognize "star quality," he's not the first person to see it on the stage in the auditions. They don't follow each candidate around beforehand, there aren't that many videographers in the union. Someone is either salting the barrel or pre-auditioning the "talent."

Possibly there would be another person whose talent could be discovered or showcased. Art isn't so much about fitting some mold, it's about sincerity, courage, and that je ne sais quoi.
