The Handmaid's Tale: A Novel
by Margaret Atwood is, to my mind, one of the scariest dystopians ever written. Mostly because with a few tweaks to society I could see it happening. Visually the film is disturbing. It is not a perfect copy of the book. The book is a masterwork in its creation and portrayal of a mad world. ruled by the Christian equivalent of Sharia law.
