We've been watching DOWNTON ABBEY. It is fascinating, the world poised on the rim of the modern era. And, through it all I see that technology does not change the basics of humanity: people live and die, they seek love, they lose love, all that.
I can highly recommend it. We're obsessed. It is as good as if not better than its predecessor, UPSTAIRS DOWNSTAIRS. The grand house, which was an abbey of course is filled with all that marvelous decoration, Norman arches, paneling, and all that stuff.
